“ Staff was friendly and helpful. Hot pot was good a decent amount of selections. For the Korean BBQ no ribs only bulgogi ”
“ We've been to a few hot pot places, I loved that you could do a not all you can eat for a cheaper price. We weren't hungry enough to get our money's worth for the all you can eat. They also allowed changes to the not all you can eat hot pot or make your own. ”
“ I've been in Gainesville for a few months now and I have eaten at Nine Spices Fondu quite a few times already. Besides being a fun experience, Nine Spices Fondu has an amazing assortment of foods for their all you can eat hot pot. They recently added beef belly to their menu, and it is so delicious. They off various veggies, meats, seafood, and mushrooms. Their broths are delicious, but spicy is my favorite. Their sauce bar offers so many options to make your own dipping sauce for veggies, meat, or to add to your broth. The $30 all you can eat option carry's so much value, the amount high quality meat one can go through during dinner here makes up for the price point alone. ”
“ Well, I decided to come back this time for a nice solo lunch. When I walked in, I came around 1:45 PM and it was not busy. I was sad pretty quickly and I already knew what I wanted as I was craving the unlimited hot pot. Although they have a conveyor belt that rotates with different veggies and seafood options - I wanted to put in an order for things that I did not see on the belt. I order for the classic broth, bok choy, Ramen, enoki mushrooms, shrimp, bean sprouts, and some other veggies. While I waited for my server to return with my goods, I went and created my own sauce concoction. I went with a mix of different things, and they have a sauce, concoction recipe that you can utilize to create your own dips. Since the restaurant was pretty empty, you could tell it was very clean which I really liked about my experience. The server checked on me multiple times and was really good about making sure that I had a refill on my soup base or my toppings. Overall, it was a great lunch experience that I would highly recommend if you want to enjoy a solo lunch or with friends. I really like this option because it allows you to customize your own soup and try out different varieties for your pot. ”
“ Service: 5/5 So helpful!! Sauces: 5/5 Fresh and good variety! Food: 4/5 Canned soda :( I am not generally a fan of restaurants where I have to cook for myself, especially without a recipe, so the whole fondue/broth experience is a miss for me. However I do enjoy being able to sample a bunch of different things and thankfully hubby likes to cook it all for me. I would definitely come back just to have the Beef Bulgogi and the Chicken Bulgogi (it's soooo tender!) on the BBQ. One of the workers saw us struggling with sauces and whipped something up that was so good I could drink it solo! I literally ate it with everything that night. Even hubby who doesn't like cilantro or scallions said it was pretty good. Many different people stopped at our table to help, everyone was so nice and helpful. I don't feel like we got the hang of cooking in the broth. We tried beef, chicken, lamb, fish, quail eggs, mushrooms, udon, shrimp, you name it. But it all seemed like it needed something. I did appreciate all the cook times being posted in various places but I wish there were an option to pick a pre-chosen dish and add/modify if you wanted. Also, the photos on the cook time charts were super helpful in identifying what was on each plate as it passed on the conveyor. Don't forget to grab an ice cream to go on the way out! ”
“ Disclaimer: This is my first time at a hot pot restaurant. We opted for the ala carte vs all you can eat. I am glad we did. The food portions were large. There were three of us and we got chicken, beef and lamb and then shared the meat. You get an assortment of items from veggies to tofu and dumplings as well as your meat. You pick a base broth to cook everything in. This was a very enjoyable experience. The food was good and plentiful. The ladies took care of us well. I'm sure we looked like cows looking at a new gate, but the service was great and they explained everything well. Great atmosphere as well. Very Chinese. Would do this again. It would be a blast with a group! ”
“ I was in Gainesville for a work trip and was happy to see that there was a hot pot spot near my hotel. I was a little worried since I was by myself, that it wouldn't work with the whole hot pot set up. When I got there, I was seated at a bar like section where there are individual hot pot stations for people in my exact situation! It was perfect. The staff were very nice and accommodating and explained everything that I needed to know, as it was my first time at that specific restaurant. The food was so tasty and I went back for so much more than I expected! It seems like a very nice space for large groups as well as single eaters. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone who's looking for a fun yummy meal in the area! ”
“ We have been going here pretty much since they opened, and they went back after they reopened after Covid. This is by far one of our top 10 restaurants in Gainesville. They know us by name..lol... They are a traditional hotpot. During peak hours they will have the food come around on a conveyor belt. They now offer a grill in the middle to fry some marinated meats they offer for an up charge from the original hotpot. They have an atmosphere you will see college students filling this place up during UF semesters. You truly are in for an experience that will keep you coming back. ”
“ Located just of Archer on 34th, this hot pot spot also offers Korean BBQ. Staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. If you are unfamiliar with hot pot, it's a fun interactive meal. Think like melting pot for hearty soup. There are directions in the restaurant as well if you are new to the experience. Reasonably priced for what you get (all you can eat/AYCE), we only did the hot pot but the BBQ is only $3 extra per person but the whole table has to order. The restaurant is very open so it can get loud especially if a party itself is loud. A lot of the veggies and some seafood or noodles come out via conveyor belt but anything you don't see, you can order from a server. The sauce bar was amazing and allowed for you to crate your own mix or just go with their house sauce (which was also tasty). Our table tried the mushroom, spicy, and original broth. Our only 2 issues were that the broths could have been a bit more flavorful and that the conveyor belt plates should have a lid or something since they may bypass many people before getting to you. Overall we will be back when in town. Give it a try for a fun, neat eating experience. ”
